On March 9, 2005, States General Life Insurance Company ("SGLIC") was determined to be in hazardous financial condition and placed in permanent receivership by the 126th Judicial District Court, Travis County, Texas. The Commissioner of Insurance has appointed Jack M. Webb & Associates, Inc. as Special Deputy Receiver ("SDR") to handle the liquidation of the States General Life Insurance Company receivership estate. All claims against this company are now claims against the receivership estate and all proceedings are governed by The Insurer Receivership Act, Chapter 443 of the Texas Insurance Code.
